HAPPY BIRTHDAY 'GG'
March 2, 1913, in Cathlamet, Washington, a special spirit Daughter of our Heavenly Father, was born. Luella Narcissa Messinger Christiansen, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-grand Mother. In the pictures above, the first LDS Chapel in the area where GG grew up, was built on the forest land belonging to GG's parents. Grandma Messinger knew how important the LDS Church was to GG, so she sold that plot of land to the LDS Church. That event was one of the highlights in GG's life. The next photo is of GG and her much loved Siamese cat Meow. The next photo is the flower lined path on the side of the old garage in PG. The picture doesn't show the vivid colors of her flowers. GG had a natural green thumb, and her flower beds were magnificent!!!

And this special photo, is of 'GG' and 2 of her 3 sisters. 'GG' is on the left, Fancise, Lucille, and Helen is not yet born. This was taken in her family home in Cathlamet, Washington.
I just wanted to take this time to wish our 'GG' HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! We miss you, and will always remember your beautiful spirit!!! We love you mom!
Thank you Mom for sharing these sweet photos of Grandma. I miss her so very much! Some of my fondest childhood memories are of walking that flower lined pathway and smelling GG's beautiful flowers, those and her rose bed. We have been so very Blessed to have Grandma as our Matriarch, Mother & Grandmother! Love you GG!!!
